Daniel Raydan

About Daniel

Daniel Raydan obtained his Master's degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in September 2019, with a thesis on carbohydrate chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Christian Marcus Pedersen. He is currently a final year PhD student at NOVA University, Lisbon, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Maria Manuel Marques (FCT-NOVA) and Dr Beatriz Royo (ITQB-NOVA).

His research interests lie in developing novel synthetic routes for preparing biologically active N-heterocyclic compounds, focusing on applying metal-catalysed hydrogen borrowing and dehydrogenative coupling reactions. He decided to join Professor Kevin Lam's group for a placement to broaden his knowledge of electrosynthesis.
