John Burnett

About John

John graduated with an MSc in Chemistry and Physics from the University of St Andrews in 2022. His final year project investigated the reactivity of peri-substituted aromatic compounds, with the aim of testing the possibility of a binding interaction between peri atoms, as predicted by a computational study.

In 2023, John joined the Lam research group with a desire to further his understanding of synthetic chemistry through the pursuit of a PhD.

When not at work, John can often be found writing or performing some form of music.
